With a slow return to dominance in the Midwest after a lot of recruiting and skill development, the women have been able to improve from the Midwest runner-up in 2016 to the Midwest champion in 2017. Securing the Sweet 16 Birth for the 2018 National Playoffs, and a chance to participate in the Gold Cup against other Union’s top teams. The women are looking forward to great competition to help make us better as a team.
Founded in 1999 by Hall of Famer Katie Scott, the Detroit women quickly established itself as a premier Division 2 Club. Winning Division 2 National Championships in 2003, 2004, 2007 and runner-ups in 2005 and 2008. The governing unions decided it was time for the side to move to Division I. Taking time to adjust to the increased level of play, the women made it to the final four in 2012.
