The Detroit RFC Women currently compete in Division I, in the Competitive Region 2 against Chicago Women RFC, North Shore, Minnesota Valkyries, Austin Valkyries, Denver Black Ice, and St. Louis Sabres.

History
Established in 1999, the Detroit RFC Women’s program quickly established itself as a premier Division II women’s club in the state of Michigan. In just four years the Detroit RFC Women’s team rose to become Division II National Champions in 2003. And just to prove that it was no fluke they went on and repeated that feat in 2004. 2005 proved a match too far and the two time champions lost in the Championship match to fall just short of a three-peat.

2006 proved a transitional year as the head coach moved on along with a number of senior players. However, the foundations were laid for another title run and in 2007 the new-look side duly delivered their third Division II National Championship in 5 years.
