Detroit RFC are holding a Golf Day as their 2009 Fundraising event. The event will take place at Dearborn Hills golf club on August 22nd with check in at 7:30am and starting at 8:30am. Everyone is invited to participate and players, spectators and hole sponsors can pay through the Detroit RFC estore. You can download a flyer to print off or get full details after the break.

The DRFC Ladies team has accepted an invitation to join the Midwest Division I following a reorganization of the Women's game by USA Rugby. This means that the DRFC Ladies matches will now be recognized by USA Rugby as well as giving them the opportunity to test their mettle in a higher standard of competition.

The DRFC Old Boys, the DOGs, are holding monthly "strategy" meetings at Four Green Fields every third Friday of the month. The next one is on April 17th at 7pm so get yourself along to Four Green Fields and join in the brainstorming.

The DRFC Ladies added yet another title to their collection by winning Nash Bash 2009. Congratulations Ladies!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

On June 6, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. the Greening of Detroit needs up to 70 volunteers to plant trees. Detroit RFC have designated this as one of our Charity events this year. The park where we willl be planting is 2 blocks from Henry Ford Hospital so it will be easy to get to and from.
